Alley Spring Mill was built over 100 years ago to process corn and wheat into flour.  The spring waters powered a turbine which ground the grain with rollers.
The flow of water in the spring averages 81 million gallons per day.  The spring basin shown here is 32 feet deep.

There are hiking trails that go around the mill area.  Shown here is a bridge the goes over the turquoise spring waters.  The water is very clear is some areas and you can see a variety of vegetation growing in the water.
Part of the hiking trail follows the spring waters.  There are many scenic areas especially in the fall when the trees are colorful.
