Dillard Mill State Historic Site - Visual Journey...Missouri |
Dillard Mill is a water powered gristmill over 100 years old. The water
powered a turbine which would grind the grain into flour using steel rollers.
The mill ceased operations in 1956. |
| The mill is still available for tours however and there is also a
1.5 mile hiking trail that goes through the forest. |
The mill was built along Huzzah Creek and has a rock dam that creates
a nice waterfall next to the mill. There are several picnic areas and a shelter pavillion available. |
Dillard Mill State Historic Site is located off Hwy. 49, one mile
south of Dillard in Crawford County, Missouri. |
