The spring has a flow of 23 million gallons per day and stays a constant 58 degrees year round.
The mill was built in 1861 and then rebuilt in 1897.  A picture of this mill is used on the front of bags of flour sold nationally.  The flour which was once ground here is now ground in a modern facility.
